Have an Apple, Dearie.

I just ate three small, perfect, blemishless apples. They were delicious. They were juicy. They were sweet and tart. They were as alike as three peas in a pod. But, I know without a shadow of a doubt, that they were man-made. God doesn't make perfect apples in quantity. They are never identical. It takes genetic tinkering to make perfect, identical apples which have no blemishes and no pest damage.

Now I wonder what they are doing to me. As my system breaks down the carbohydrates that have never been on this planet to usable pieces which will be used to build more of me, what will I become? Will I morph into something man-made, "evolving away" from the me God made?

How do you like them apples?
